The first few days

Hello again every one!

We started our journey "moochdocking" off family, and it was a fun start!

We were able to figure out the solutions to our problems with the peace of being next to family.

We were able to hook up to water and power. However the power wasn't strong enough to run our AC, even if it was the only thing on! And at the same time, we received a Heat Advisory Warning.

We purchased a window ac unit to help us out until we can hook up to stronger power.

Independence Day

Just in time for the holiday, we ventured off.

What are the odds we start our journey on our own, on Independence Day?! I say it was divine! We had the spirit of patriotism and excitement of celebration with us!

Fireworks to end the night, and even better...

We found free hookups!!

With a beautiful pond and park, we got free power and water!

The next morning portable bathrooms were installed, and it made everything MUCH easier!

The day after that, we were guided to a free dumpsite just up the road!

This has been a GREAT week figuring out this new lifestyle!

The boys are enjoying the time at the parks playground and living small!

There are some new things we each have to learn, and overcome. There's always something to learn when you change your lifestyle!

Things we have had to learn or overcome

  • Small space cooking for a large family

  • Conserving water

  • Power consumption

  • Fast showers

  • Cold showers

  • Laundromat days

  • New type of Toilet Paper

  • Dumping

  • Spending so much time together

  • Quiet time

  • Work/School hours

  • Less is More

  • Quality over Quantity

  • Simplicity is Key

  • Websites for free camp hookups

  • Lack of internet connection

  • Working from Home

  • Downsizing Even More!

Just in this small amount of time we've spent, we have been tuning in, and taking note of things that will make our lives better, more simple and efficient!

Living simple is much better for me and my family!

I'm loving every step of this journey. The beautiful, messy, and smelly parts of this journey. It's worth every minute!

I'm finding myself often, reading my parenting manual... haha. I take moments to myself, but I ALWAYS return to address any issues that are present.

Most importantly,

I have had to make sure I'm spending my time right. These boys are feeling all the emotions, and I want to make sure, that what they're feeling is with the spirit!

I want them to grow up knowing how to Trust the process, enjoy every moment they can, and finding the beauty in every part. Were getting there!

Setting out the Biz

The people we have been able to meet already, have been amazing! The people are great, with such Big Hearts!

We found ourselves docking right before a weekend Livestock Show!

So we set out some products we sell and just waited to see what happened.

We made $150, just enjoying our time as a family sitting outside, having good conversation with good people. I am Very well pleased with how it's been.

We determined it's best if we make a sign that we travel with, that labels what we sell and set it out each new place we dock!

If you see us, come say hi!
