Christmas is much more than a time of the year to give presents and sing carols, drink hot cocoa, and wait for Santa.

Christmas is a feeling that should be carried with you and your family All year long!

That feeling of Peace, Joy, Love for your neighbors and strangers. The idea that we give more than we take. Being thoughtful of others and their needs. Spending time with the people who are most important in your life. Calling your parents and extended family to remind them how much you love them, checking in, and subtle reminders that you're still there. These things could change the world if we focused more on them, more than once a year!

In the middle of October we realized how closed-minded we were becoming. Letting others walk over us, walking over dollars to pick up dimes, losing relationships rather than strengthening them.

So we cut our ropes!

The Need To Leave

A little before this recognition (Sometime in early September), we started feeling the call to move forward more fully with our mission. We were being pulled towards what God wanted us to do, rather than staying in the security of a paycheck. And as that security began to dwindle as each day went on, we noticed a change that we needed to make. We had to start preparing for our exit in the East, and our momentum towards the western United States. So come the middle of October, the promptings were stronger than ever before, That the Time has come to leave Tennessee in the east, and pull our family to the Rocky Mountains, preparing for the winter months, and launching our big ideas. The people we were surrounding ourselves with, weren't in that forward mindset, and it was hard to hold onto that mission. So this took a lot of strength to hold on, while being told in the other ear, that we would fail.

To the Rockies!!

So here goes another leap of Faith! we bid farewells and carried our family across the plains, to Wyoming!

We were in Wyoming, working on kickstarting the business launch. And the strongest promptings I have been getting were telling me to make our visit there short, and carry on south, towards Southern Utah for the winter months. And that by November 1st, we should be in St. George, UT.

Upon staying with family, we got very comfortable. We werent staying in the camper, because we were offered beds inside the house, and we figured we needed a break.

Well, this break ended up getting us delayed in our action steps, and we were not read to head south from there. Halloween came, and I felt the erie feeling of loss, like we missed out on something, because we weren't leaving. The next morning, November 1st, a Winter Storm warning was issued for the entire rocky mountains North of St. George, UT.

We Got Snowed In!

We were stuck in Wyoming. I felt there would be a moment that we would have, to get our camper through the canyon and drive safely south in between storms. And we needed to be prepared to take that moment when it presents itself. So in this time, we finished our projects that we delayed, downsized from accumulating things, and geared up. We replaced the brakes on the camper, as well as the Inverter for the Camper battery. and we filled up our propane tanks. 4 days after the first storm, The sky cleared up. I immediately knew this was the day we needed to leave. I woke up really early, with the help of family, I was able to pick up some winter coats and shoes for our boys, and we filled up the truck and car, and pulled out of Wyoming. We only had a 10 hour window before the next storm rolled in!

Let me tell you, driving through the canyon in our camper was gorgeous, and it was a goal we have been anxious to accomplish for almost 10 years! And we were doing it! I was in tears!

Pulling a camper, what would have been a 5 hour drive, turned into 9.5 hours. It started to snow 45 minutes from St. George, but we pushed through and within a short time, there was no more snow, the air was clear, and we knew we made it. a Literal breath of fresh air! We made it to where we needed to be for the winter months.

Programs are launching, and events and workshops are being scheduled. We have our next 6 months of traveling scheduled! From California to Virginia, We get to teach people how to grow their own food, and make a difference in their communities, and most importantly in their own Homes!
