The Past is Worth Learning From

If you told me 10 years ago that I'd love in The heartland, in a 4bed 2 bath 1700sq ft house on a .87acre food forest project with an angel of a wife and 5 boys all under 9. And our biggest struggle would be leaving it behind to find homebase on 10+acres while serving in my church supporting over 200 families taking part in a self reliance initative while traveling the country teaching permaculture design while my family sold everything we own to start a full time RV lifestyle to that home base goal, and my personal goals and ambitions would fall in line 2nd to the lords will for my family as I gave up owning our home just 30somethin thousand away from paying it off completely... I probably would have believed you. But just 2 more years back, and I would have laughed in your face. Today, if you told me in 10 years I'd have more kids, several programs surrounding regenerative land based projects around the world and a steady growth spiritually understanding service work and life balances as my family works with cultures from Africa and Australia to Canada and Hawaii, I wouldn't even blink. But if you told me our current wall between us and our goals isn't going to last against our resolve today, and our next chapter in life is going to yield all we want and seek to achieve... I'd probably be speechless, as my mind raced for answers I can't seam to find. Truth of the matter is, I am a visionary. The past is always worth learning from, and the future is always bright in my eyes. But right here, right now, I have been found struggling more times than I'd like to admit. In body mind and spirit. What gets me through is the angel behind me in this photo, and the gardens of peace and solace along the way. At this point, I'm up for anything. Let's move some mountains.
