Radical Change

I live in a 2 story, 4 bedroom, 2 bath, 2 living room stand alone home on roughly a quarter acre; pine trees and aspens x9 litter my yard. My front porch is suspended, a beautiful view across the horizon each morning and night. A united states flag mounts its railings atop a wooden pole, and a park style wooden bench between my Aspen trees welcomes me home each day. Sounds beautiful, right? It is. Here's the hidden details:

We have 2 bedrooms usable, both with broken windows, 1 bath with the tiles falling away the wall, due to water soaked sheet rock. Merged is 1 living/dining room, with window glass that doesn't quite hang tight inside the panes. There's 2 nice suspended decks on my grassy yard, one stained with the banister slowly making it's way apart, and the other in great condition. It could use a stain. The technicality? Half my house is unfinished. Including the entire bottom level.

We love our home, it's a beautiful standalone goal we've achieved to raise our 3 boys. The land is beautiful here when the weather permits it, but is soon swallowed by bitter Wyoming cold and mounds of snow.

It's been an escape for us, a place to come to understand ourselves, our lives, our loved ones, our God, and our very relationships. And now, with great and immense gratitude, we bid this abode, Ado.

We're Upgrading!

1 RV,

1 20x14 Canvas Dome Yurt Shelter,

1 truck, 1 Trailer,

1 year food storage,

enough camping gear to survive without society,

all our bare minimum necessities,

All our School books and Educational Materials,

sentiments,

and what claims we can carry.

1 small lot of land, And 1 Heavily Determined Family.

That's right; We're taking our Biggest Leap Yet. We're making a Radical Change.

Within 1 year we intend to have a fully functioning Independently run Homestead. We'll be living within 3 shelters for the first 6 months or so, as we build our house. A 40'x14' Home we've just seen in person today was absolutely stunning inside for its quaintness, and stands as a pretty good reference point for our custom designs.

We're taking all our income avenues to the mobile formats, and we're chaining down to nothing.

We'll be headed out just shy of the end of March, and we're selling absolutely everything that no longer serves us.

This Radical Change is not so much a stranger to many other People in the world, we are one of a community of 1 MILLION people in the US who've embarked on the same or very similar Journeys.

We'll be just a few short weeks post our temple Sealing, and Just 6 months pre-Baby; Did I mention we're expecting? A midwife in Utah will deliver that new Addition. Soldier #4. If it's another Boy? Well, than we're still building an army for powerful global change. If it's a girl? Well, we're building a protection Detail for my little girl. 3 of 4 soldiers seem to be turning out just great.

In all seriousness, we've planned carefully, and have more planning to do. We've studied and learned and investigated all sorts of options, we're set in our course.

Every year the last 5 we've wondered if it was time to take this very leap, yet we refrained; learned, and revisited the same thoughts each year still.

We're not willing to waste another day pondering dreams and options. Not another day goes by we sit back and moan and groan having not yet started, no. We're Making Changes Radically Now.

This time, Were Bold.
